In this role, you will be responsible for generating visually stunning concept art that defines the aesthetic and mood of new projects, ranging from video games to animated features. You will collaborate closely with art directors and development teams to bring imaginative worlds and characters to life, ensuring visual consistency and quality throughout the production pipeline. This position offers a unique blend of creative freedom and collaborative problem-solving within a hybrid work structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art, including character designs, environment designs, prop designs, and key art, that align with project briefs.
• Develop and refine visual styles, color palettes, and mood boards to establish the artistic direction of projects.
• Work iteratively with art directors and teams to incorporate feedback and ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Research and gather visual references to inform designs and maintain historical or stylistic accuracy where needed.
• Mentor junior artists and contribute to the overall artistic growth and technical development of the art department.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional skills in digital painting, character design, and environment design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop and potentially ZBrush or other 3D sculpting tools.
• Deep understanding of anatomy, perspective, composition, lighting, and color theory.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote collaboration with in-office team interaction.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide and receive constructive criticism.
