The role demands at least five years in compliance or audit within financial services, deep knowledge of FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and strong analytical and communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law, business admin, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or audit roles within the insurance or financial services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of South African insurance laws, regulations (FAIS, FICA, POPIA), and industry codes.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Experience in conducting internal audits and investigations.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in compliance are highly desirable.
