Placements24 is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to lead negotiation and drafting of diverse commercial contracts, including supply, service, licensing and partnership agreements. You will also advise on interpretation, disputes, and risk mitigation to protect business interests.

Based in a hybrid role, you will collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and R&D, ensure regulatory compliance, manage contract lifecycle, and support the legal team on various commercial law

Formación

• LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized institution.
• Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• 7+ years post-admission experience focused on commercial contract law.

Responsabilidades

• Lead negotiation and drafting of complex commercial contracts including supply, service, partnership, and licensing agreements.
• Provide expert legal advice on contract interpretation, disputes, and risk mitigation.
• Review and advise on contract amendments and renewals.
• Develop and implement standardized contract templates and playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
• Ensure all contracts comply with South African and international laws and regulations.
• Manage contract lifecycle including tracking key dates, obligations, and compliance requirements.
• Advise on regulatory compliance related to commercial transactions.
• Conduct legal research on contract-related issues.
• Support the legal team in other commercial law matters as required.
