Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our security team in Benoni on a hybrid basis. You will design, implement, and manage security controls for AWS, Azure, and GCP, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity with a cloud focus, scripting skills in Python/Bash, and relevant cloud security certifications. A collaborative, security-first culture awaits in a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience with a significant focus on cloud security.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Proficiency with security automation scripting (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
• Respond to security incidents and develop remediation plans and post-mortems.
• Implement and manage security monitoring tools, SIEM, and IDS/IPS.
• Collaborate with development and operations to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and secure coding practices.
