Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years IT infrastructure experience with 3+ years in cloud architecture.
• Proven track record designing and managing cloud infra on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Hands-on IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Strong networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers).
• Python or Bash scripting proficiency.
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure) are a plus.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing technology company in the wine and spirits industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect. This on-site role is based in the picturesque city of Stellenbosch, Western Cape . You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our client's cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and cost-effective. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), networking, security, and infrastructure automation. You will work closely with development and operations teams to deliver robust and reliable cloud solutions that support the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving infrastructure challenges, coupled with a strong ability to architect solutions for complex environments. This is a critical role that will shape the backbone of our client's technological operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
