Valtra South Africa is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth in Johannesburg, overseeing dealer networks and the premium brand position. You will translate strategy into market actions, manage key accounts, and coordinate sales, marketing, and aftersales to deliver profitable regional growth.

Formación

• At least five years’ progressive sales experience managing dealers or key accounts across multiple markets.
• Valtra specific background is advantageous.
• Strong agricultural machinery or capital equipment experience, preferably involving tractors and premium brands.
• Sound understanding of diverse market cultures and customer needs, supported by excellent written, verbal, presentation and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Valtra tractors, customer applications, competing products and the agricultural equipment market.
• Proven commercial and strategic ability to drive profitable growth through partnerships, value‑based selling and pipeline management, with practical knowledge of shipping and payment processes, including letters of credit.

Responsabilidades

• Achieve targets for net sales, gross margin, market share, order intake and dealer inventory.
• Translate Valtra and AGCO strategies into market-specific actions.
• Build and nurture dealer networks, improving customer experience and coordinating cross-functional activities.
• Ensure compliance with AGCO policies and delegated authorities.
• Deliver Valtra South Africa targets in line with budgets and forecasts.
• Build a strong sales pipeline and secure orders across markets, dealers and product ranges.
• Develop the annual South Africa sales plan, defining country priorities, pricing, campaigns and dealer commitments.
• Prepare rolling forecasts by country, model, and timing, considering demand, stock and risks.
• Create annual business plans, monitor performance against budget and implement corrective actions when required.
• Manage sales performance in flow and non-flow territories through monitoring, bids and direct orders.
• Develop the existing dealer network by setting targets per branch, coaching sales teams and inventory management.
• Build an effective dealer-to-order process and represent Valtra professionally at customer, dealer and industry engagements.
