Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Assessor to join our fully remote team. The role involves managing complex insurance claims from registration through to settlement, ensuring compliance with policy terms and regulatory requirements.

You will interpret policy wordings, assess liability and damages, and communicate with policyholders and stakeholders to gather information. The position offers flexible hours, competitive benefits, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Claims Assessor or in a similar insurance role.
• In-depth understanding of personal and commercial lines insurance products and claims processes.
• Proficient in claims management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into insurance claims, assessing coverage, liability, and damages.
• Interpret policy wordings and conditions to determine claim validity and payout amounts.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, witnesses, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to gather information.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and third parties to achieve fair and timely resolutions.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for claim disposition and authorize payments.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of claims handling procedures.
