Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Project Engineer to oversee civil construction projects in the Paarl region. You will lead site operations, manage planning, budgeting, resources and safety, ensuring delivery from inception to completion.

Strong leadership and technical expertise are essential to meet client expectations. Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree and at least 10 years in project engineering, with registration as a Professional Engineer being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 10+ years in project engineering and civil construction management.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and PM software.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil construction projects ensuring scope, budget and schedule adherence.
• Develop detailed project plans including resources, procurement and risk management.
• Oversee site operations and contractor performance.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations on all sites.
• Monitor progress, provide status reports, and manage change orders.
• Serve as primary liaison for clients, consultants and stakeholders.
