Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to spearhead urban development projects in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead the design and delivery of roads, drainage, water and sewer networks, coordinating with municipal authorities and developers.

Qualifications

• Professional engineer registration (Pr Eng) with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience focusing on urban development.
• Experience delivering complex infrastructure projects in Gauteng is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Designer, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS) is expected.
• Strong understanding of urban planning, land development processes, and relevant legislation.

Responsabilités

• Lead conceptualization, design, and execution of civil components for urban development.
• Manage design of roads, intersections, earthworks, stormwater, water supply, and sanitation networks.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Oversee project teams and ensure schedule and quality compliance.
• Liaise with municipal planning departments, utilities, and regulators.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for successful completion.
• Ensure compliance with national, provincial, and local standards.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and supervise construction sites.
