Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering focused on transportation or road engineering.
• PrEng with ECSA or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in design and PM of road/transport projects.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and traffic analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of pavement design, materials, and construction methods.
• Proven project management including budget and schedule control.
• Excellent communication and leadership in client relations.
• Hybrid work capability and willingness to travel.
• Valid driver's license; travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and construction supervision of road and transport infrastructure projects, including highways, rural roads, intersections, and drainage.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, and construction drawings using Civil 3D and related tools.
• Conduct traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, and geometric design for road networks.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to secure approvals and maintain momentum.
• Oversee construction phase activities and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor and guide junior civil engineers and technicians on roads projects.
• Prepare technical reports, tender docs, and project proposals.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, geometric standards, and environmental regs.
• Contribute to selection and application of road materials and construction techniques.
