Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Sandton to lead design and project management of major infrastructure initiatives. You will oversee planning, design, and execution while maintaining quality, safety and sustainability.

You will manage teams, provide technical expertise, and coordinate with clients and regulatory authorities. A PE registration and 8+ years' experience are required, with SA municipal standards and EIAs in focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree advantageous.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civil Designer.
• Strong understanding of South African municipal standards and EIAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil projects including roads, drainage, and site infrastructure.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical reviews.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
