Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure design and project leadership across Gauteng and beyond. The role is fully remote, requiring collaboration with distributed teams and ensuring compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of experience and Pr Eng registration is preferred, along with expertise in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering; professional engineer registration preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project leadership.
• Strong experience with remote or distributed teams and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and GIS-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of infrastructure projects (roads, water, urban plans).
• Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies, translating findings into engineering solutions.
• Prepare design reports, specifications, and tender packages.
• Mentor project teams remotely and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulations, and sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders through virtual channels.
