Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead design and project management for land development civil engineering works, including greenfield and brownfield sites.
• Prepare detailed designs for roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage systems, and utility services (water, sewer).
• Conduct site feasibility studies, concept designs, and preliminary engineering reports.
• Coordinate with external consultants and internal teams.
• Ensure designs comply with municipal by-laws, national standards (SANS), and environmental regulations.
• Manage tender processes, contract administration, and construction supervision.
• Liaise with clients, developers, and municipal planning and engineering departments.
• Mentor and guide junior civil engineers and draughtspersons.
• Oversee preparation of drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant software.

About the Role Our client, a dynamic and growing engineering consultancy based in Benoni , Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer specializing in land development. This role is central to the planning, design, and implementation of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of civil engineering design, including earthworks, roads, stormwater management, water reticulation, and sanitation systems. You will work closely with developers, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to bring complex projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and project management of civil engineering aspects for land development projects, including greenfield and brownfield sites.

Requirements
