Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer specializing in infrastructure to lead major projects across Mpumalanga, including roads, water reticulation, and stormwater systems.

You will design, plan, and execute projects, supervise teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior engineers. A Pr.Eng and 10+ years of experience are required; Mpumalanga project experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience in infrastructure.
• Experience with Mpumalanga projects desirable.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of civil infrastructure projects (roads, highways, water, drainage).
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, specs and contracts.
• Manage project execution from concept to completion.
• Ensure compliance with national/regional regulations and env requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians in the Nelspruit office.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, stakeholders and consultants.
• Oversee site supervision and quality control during construction.
• Stay updated on new civil engineering technologies.
