Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Sandton, Gauteng office to lead the design and management of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater systems, and site services. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in infrastructure design, municipal standards, and project leadership.

Responsibilities include leading design teams, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with by-laws, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PrEng registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Experience designing roads, earthworks and stormwater systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of civil infrastructure components including roads, earthworks and drainage.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and design reports.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with Gauteng municipal by-laws and standards.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources; coordinate with clients and authorities.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians; perform design reviews.
• Oversee site inspections to ensure adherence to design intent.
