Job summary

Placements24 partners with a leading Gauteng property developer to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for the Benoni office. You will design civil infrastructure for residential estates, commercial complexes, and mixed-use developments, focusing on roads, site services, stormwater, and earthworks.

Lead projects from concept through construction, liaise with municipal authorities, and mentor junior team members to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of civil engineering experience, with property development focus.
• Experience in site services, roads, and bulk earthworks for residential/commercial projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and planning of civil infrastructure for development projects.
• Develop site development plans, earthworks strategies, and grading designs.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and traffic impact assessments.
• Manage projects from concept to construction completion.
• Ensure compliance with municipal standards and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with authorities and contractors to obtain approvals.
• Supervise construction activities and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage project budgets and schedules.
