Job summary

Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd seeks a Civil Construction Manager to lead civil construction projects from inception to completion in Sasolburg. You will oversee earthworks, foundations, drainage, and infrastructure, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while managing subcontractors and resources.

The role requires strong leadership, technical and project management skills, with experience managing construction teams and budgets in line with SA legislation and client contracts.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Diploma/Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Construction Management advantageous.
• Additional qualifications in project management, construction safety or contract management beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage all civil construction activities on site.
• Develop and monitor programmes, schedules and resource plans.
• Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets and contractual requirements.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions for delays.
• Coordinate site meetings and provide progress reports to management and clients.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Supervise site managers, engineers, subcontractors and workers.
• Oversee earthworks, foundations, concrete works, drainage and roads.
