Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer for our client in Sandton, Gauteng. You will lead process optimization and sustainability initiatives, applying advanced engineering to improve yield, energy efficiency, and environmental performance.

You will mentor engineers, develop KPIs, model processes with Aspen Plus/HYSYS, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive technical reviews from design through implementation.

Qualificações

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in chemical process engineering with a focus on optimization and sustainability.
• Proven expertise with process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus and HYSYS.

Responsabilidades

• Lead analysis and optimization of chemical processes to improve yield, throughput, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement sustainable engineering practices to minimize environmental footprint.
• Conduct feasibility studies for process upgrades and new technology implementations.
• Model and evaluate process modifications using process simulation software.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to implement improvements.
• Develop KPIs for process efficiency and sustainability metrics.
• Oversee process control strategies to ensure optimal operating conditions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in optimization and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
