Job summary

ITM Africa is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to identify and secure new opportunities, drive revenue growth, and expand our HR solutions footprint in South Africa. You will lead sales strategies, generate leads, and build long-term client partnerships.

The role requires 5–10 years of proven success in business development, with strong negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking abilities. English fluency is essential, additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Honours/Master’s in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• 5–10 years of proven success in business development, preferably in HR solutions.
• Strong sales, negotiation and client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets.
• Generate leads through networking, market research, referrals and client outreach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Prepare business proposals, quotations, presentations and sales agreements.
• Conduct client meetings to identify needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Manage the sales pipeline, follow up on leads and convert prospects into clients.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Monitor sales performance, revenue targets and business development KPIs.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates to management.
• Identify new markets, partnerships and opportunities to expand the company's services.
• Ensure all business development activities align with company policies and commercial objectives.
