A leading engineering firm situated in Johannesburg is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Senior Bridge Design Engineer. You will lead/manage the bridge team, handle design and project management tasks, and ensure quality control for various bridge projects. This role requires 15+ years of experience and a BSc/BEng degree. Familiarity with design software like Revit and AutoCAD is essential, along with ECSA registration. The position involves both leadership and technical skills in a high-pressure environment.

An industry-leading company situated in Johannesburg is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage Bridge team
• Lead or support bid preparations and submissions
• Design Bridge and Civil Works Structural Engineering, including bridge hydrology and hydraulics
• Manage the design process of projects
• Project Management and Quality Control Management as required
• Report writing as required
• Contract administration, including the preparation of contract documentation, specifications and bill of quantities
• Checking of drawings and schedules
• Resource management of the bridge team

Key Requirements

• 15 years and above as a Bridge Design engineer
• BSc/BEng Engineering qualification (MSc will be an advantage)
• Professionally Registered with ECSA
• Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Revit/Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD
• Experience in the design of feature bridges will be an advantage
• Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
• Able to lead a design team and work under pressure
• Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management
• Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
