Job summary

Salt seeks a Senior Brand Designer to join its in-house creative team in Cape Town. You will originate ideas and execute them to a high standard across brand touchpoints, campaigns and communications.

With 5+ years in graphic/brand design, you’ll have a strong portfolio across print and digital, plus expertise in presentation design and editorial layouts. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint/Keynote is essential, and Figma knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in graphic design, brand design or visual communication.
• Strong portfolio showing conceptual thinking and campaign work.
• Experience across print and digital platforms.
• Strong presentation design and editorial layout skills.
• Understanding of design systems, typography and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with Figma is a plus.
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design/Visual Communication or related field.

We are looking for a Senior Brand Designer to join the in-house creative team of one of South Africa's leading financial services brands in Cape Town. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can both originate ideas and execute them to a high standard, working across a broad range of brand and communication touchpoints.

What You Will Be Doing

• Working closely with creative leads, copywriters, and stakeholders, you will develop original, strategically aligned creative concepts for campaigns and brand initiatives.
• You will translate briefs into strong visual ideas, contribute to ideation sessions, and present your thinking with confidence and clarity.
• On the execution side, you will produce polished, production-ready layouts for executive presentations, investor packs, reports, and internal communications, as well as visually engaging assets for digital campaigns, print collateral, and branding projects.
• Maintaining brand consistency and a high level of craft across all outputs is central to this role.

What We Are Looking For

• 5 plus years of experience in graphic design, brand design, or visual communication
• A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, layout expertise, and campaign work
• Solid experience designing across both print and digital platforms
• Strong experience in presentation design, editorial layout, and brand communication
• Understanding of design systems, typography, and visual storytelling
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
