Job summary

Salt in Johannesburg is seeking a senior designer to join its business banking marketing team. You will own briefs from concept to final execution, shaping how clients at business scale see the bank across channels.

You'll design campaigns for digital and print, build flexible brand systems, and collaborate with copywriters, product teams and stakeholders. A strong portfolio in B2B or financial services is essential.

Qualifications

Love turning complex ideas into work that's simple, smart and striking? A leading South African bank is looking for a senior designer to join its business banking marketing team. You'll create work for business owners, from entrepreneurs and small businesses to large established companies, and help shape how the bank speaks to them across every channel. This is a senior, hands on role for someone who wants to own the work. You'll take a brief, understand the business goal behind it, shape the creative idea and see it through to the final execution.

What you'll do

• Turn business and marketing objectives into strong creative concepts and campaigns.
• Design across digital and traditional channels, including social, paid media, websites, email, print, OOH and sales material.
• Make banking and financial ideas feel clear, relevant and engaging for business audiences.
• Build flexible visual systems that stay on brand without feeling repetitive.
• Work closely with copywriters, marketers, product teams and stakeholders, and present your thinking with confidence.

What you'll bring

• Senior level design experience with a portfolio that shows both thinking and craft.
• Experience in B2B, business banking, financial services or another complex business environment.
• An understanding of how speaking to businesses differs from speaking to consumers.
• Strong brand, campaign and art direction experience across digital and print.
• Strong skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with working knowledge of Figma.
• A commercially minded, self sufficient approach and the confidence to move work forward.
• Bonus points for Motion, multimedia or UX/UI skills.
