Job summary

Cannect Digital, a Durban-based Performance Marketing group, seeks a Senior Bookkeeper to own day-to-day accounting across three entities using Xero. You will handle reconciliations, client billing, debtors, VAT, payroll inputs and year-end work with external accountants.

You will report to Directors, maintain accuracy and timely reporting, and support asset registers, compliance packs, and group insurance across entities.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end bookkeeping across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Process all three entities in Xero from source documents to trial balance, including supplier invoices, reconciliations and journals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts (income statement, balance sheet) per entity and group, with KPI pack and commentary.
• Manage client billing, debtors, statements, age analysis and collections; escalate as needed.
• Support VAT, payroll inputs, year-end, and SARS queries with external accountants.
• Maintain fixed asset register, FICA/compliance documentation, and group insurance.
• Track expenses against budget and ensure proper controls and approvals.
