Job summary

Chartered Solutions in Stellenbosch, South Africa, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities using Xero. You will work with international finance teams from AU and UK while based in our Stellenbosch office.

The role involves weekly bank reconciliations, supplier payments, payroll processing, and monthly financial statements. ACCA/CA(SA)/CIMA/SAIPA qualification and 2–3 years bookkeeping experience are required.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CA/CIMA/SAIPA qualification required.
• 2–3 years bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with international clients (AU/UK) preferred.
• Strong reconciliation and data-entry skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Stellenbosch office-based with international team exposure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
• Bookkeep for three group entities (AU & UK).
• Sync data feeds into Xero and ensure accuracy.
• Record and reconcile customer sales and payments.
• Process supplier bills, attach docs, schedule payments.
• Prepare and send customer statements and remittances.
• Follow up on debtors and missing supplier bills.
• Troubleshooting accounting issues as needed.
• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Support annual audit with workpapers.
