Job summary

Dekro Group in Kuils River, Western Cape, seeks aSenior Bookkeeper to own the complete bookkeeping cycle across multiple entities. You will manage reconciliations, financial reporting, VAT and SARS compliance, and cash flow to support accurate monthly closes.

This role requires a strong technical accounting foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across entities while meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full bookkeeping and accounting cycle across multiple Group entities.
• Prepare financial reports and process journals.
• Perform and review bank, petty cash, credit card and debit card reconciliations.
• Oversee creditor and debtor reconciliations.
• Manage stock reconciliations, import costing and stock take administration.
• Process stock-related journals and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201, withholding tax and other SARS compliance requirements.
• Manage foreign payments and APN applications.
• Assist with import/export administration and related financial processes.
• Manage fixed asset accounting.
• Perform intercompany loan reconciliations.
• Manage royalty accounting.
• Assist with payment approvals, beneficiary verification and fraud prevention controls.
• Prepare management accounts and audit files.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage daily cash flow and monitor investment accounts.
• Provide support to cashbook, creditors and debtors as needed.
• Assist with month-end close and ensure timely submission of financial information.
