Placements24 is seeking a Senior Crypto Security Engineer to join their Randburg team, focusing on securing blockchain infrastructure and digital assets.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in blockchain security, deep cryptography knowledge, and hands-on experience with security tools and threat modeling. You will collaborate with engineers to embed security across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in blockchain security.
• Strong cryptography, network security, and secure coding practices.
• Hands-on with security tools, vulnerability assessment frameworks, and threat modeling.
• Knowledge of smart contract security principles and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security measures for blockchain networks, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.
• Conduct security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments of blockchain systems.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Stay current with emerging security threats and trends in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
