Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Lead Crypto Security Analyst to head security initiatives in George, Western Cape. You will lead a team safeguarding digital assets, develop robust strategies, and ensure system integrity across a fast-growing crypto landscape.

This role requires guiding incident response, threat modeling, and security operations while collaborating with Dev and Ops to embed best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with blockchain/crypto security.
• Proven experience leading security teams and operations.
• Deep knowledge of cryptographic principles and network security.
• Experience with threat detection and analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of blockchain protocols and security implications.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security strategies for blockchain networks and digital assets.
• Lead threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and pentesting efforts.
• Oversee incident response planning and execution for security breaches.
