Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Platform Engineer for a client in Polokwane to design, implement, and optimize the core blockchain infrastructure powering decentralized applications. You will lead efforts on consensus mechanisms, network protocols, and platform reliability.

Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving performance, while collaborating with dApp developers for seamless integration in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend or systems engineering with focus on blockchain technology.
• Experience designing distributed, high-availability platforms.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain protocols, cryptography, and consensus algorithms.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++.
• Experience with cloud infra and containers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable blockchain infrastructure.
• Develop and improve core platform components including consensus and protocols.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for the platform.
• Optimize performance and resource utilization.
