Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Network Engineer to design, build, and maintain our blockchain network infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and security.

You will work with developers to integrate applications, optimize performance, and implement consensus algorithms, with a focus on PoW/PoS, distributed systems, and cryptography, while leveraging AWS/Azure/GCP and container tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or systems administration, with 3+ years focused on blockchain networks.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, consensus mechanisms (e.g., PoW, PoS), and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with setting up and managing nodes for major blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
