Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a Blockchain Network Administrator to maintain and secure our blockchain infrastructure on-site. You will manage nodes, monitor performance, and ensure uptime in a fast-growing crypto environment.

The ideal candidate holds a IT/CS degree, has 3+ years in network administration, strong Linux/Unix server and cloud experience, and a solid understanding of blockchain technology and security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 3+ years in network administration or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, distributed ledger systems, and node operations.
• Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Experience with Linux/Unix server management and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, uptime, and resource utilization, implementing optimizations as needed.
• Implement and manage security protocols to protect blockchain nodes and data from unauthorized access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and node-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Manage user access and permissions for the blockchain network.
• Collaborate with development teams to support network upgrades and deployments.
