Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Developer to lead secure smart contract design and deployment in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will drive architecture, security audits, and integration with front-end and back-end systems, shaping our client's crypto initiatives.

You will mentor junior engineers, stay ahead of blockchain trends, and contribute to end-to-end project delivery in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Hybrid work setup available in Gauteng with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development with at least 3 years on blockchain.
• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust or Vyper.
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals and cryptography.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure smart contracts on Ethereum, BSC and other platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and security audits for smart contracts.
• Collaborate with product managers to define requirements for smart contracts.
• Integrate smart contracts with front-end and back-end applications.
• Optimize gas usage and performance of smart contracts.
• Stay updated with blockchain technology best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve blockchain interaction issues.
