Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Remote Blockchain Engineer to join their globally distributed team near Nelspruit, now fully remote. You will design, develop, and deploy complex smart contracts, dApps, and contribute to the architecture of our blockchain ecosystem.

Requirements include a Master's degree, 7+ years software development with 4+ in blockchain, and expertise in Solidity or Rust, plus familiarity with Ethereum, Polkadot, and Solana.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years software development experience, with at least 4 years focused on blockchain.
• Expertise in smart contract languages such as Solidity or Rust.
• Proven experience with major blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, Solana).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex smart contracts and dApps on various blockchain platforms.
• Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs for blockchain applications.
• Architect scalable and secure blockchain solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews, performance tuning, and security audits for blockchain codebases.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices within the development team.
