Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior BIM Coordinator to lead BIM efforts for major civil infrastructure projects. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa, coordinating across disciplines and guiding BIM standards, templates, and data management.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in BIM coordination, expert Revit/Navisworks/Civil 3D skills, and strong leadership capabilities to drive project delivery in a digitally transformed construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in BIM coordination and management for civil infrastructure projects.
• Extensive proficiency in BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Infraworks, and BIM 360/ACC.
• Strong leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement company-wide BIM standards, protocols, and best practices for civil infrastructure projects.
• Lead the creation and management of BIM models for complex projects with data integrity and accuracy.
• Coordinate BIM activities across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and contractors.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings, clash detection reviews, and resolution processes.
• Train and mentor junior BIM technicians and engineers on BIM software and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to BEPs and project-specific BIM requirements.
• Manage BIM software platforms and stay updated with latest technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define BIM deliverables and integrate into project workflows.
• Develop and manage BIM content libraries and templates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM processes and technologies.
