Placements24 is seeking a Senior BIM Architect to lead BIM strategies for large-scale infrastructure projects on a fully remote basis within South Africa. You will drive BEPs, templates, and standards, while coordinating with distributed teams to ensure data integrity across the project lifecycle.

The role requires extensive Revit/Navisworks/Civil 3D expertise, ISO 19650 knowledge, and strong communication skills to enable effective collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in BIM management.
• Proven BIM implementation for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes for complex infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans (BEPs) and project templates.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all project phases.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, utilizing virtual collaboration tools.
• Provide technical expertise and support on BIM software and workflows (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D).
• Oversee the creation and management of BIM models for infrastructure components, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an exceptional Senior BIM Architect with a strong focus on infrastructure projects to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies for large-scale infrastructure projects, including transportation networks, utilities, and public works.
