Placements24 seeks a skilled Architectural BIM Coordinator for projects based in Midrand, Gauteng. You will lead BIM coordination, manage models from multiple teams, and ensure data integrity across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include clash detection, BIM standards development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in BIM coordination, strong Revit/Navisworks skills, and a deep understanding of BIM workflows for infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural practice or construction with a strong focus on BIM coordination.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Solid understanding of BIM principles, workflows, and standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Experience coordinating architectural models within multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural BIM models from various consultants and internal teams.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar software.
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans and project-specific BIM standards.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between architectural, engineering, and construction teams using BIM platforms.
• Provide technical support and training on BIM software and workflows to project staff.
• Manage and organize BIM models, libraries, and project data effectively.
• Assist in the generation of drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and standards within the organization.
