Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior BIM Architect to lead BIM strategies for large-scale infrastructure projects on a fully remote basis within South Africa. You will drive BEPs, templates, and standards, while coordinating with distributed teams to ensure data integrity across the project lifecycle.

The role requires extensive Revit/Navisworks/Civil 3D expertise, ISO 19650 knowledge, and strong communication skills to enable effective collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in BIM management.
• Proven BIM implementation for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes for complex infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans (BEPs) and project templates.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all project phases.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, utilizing virtual collaboration tools.
• Provide technical expertise and support on BIM software and workflows (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D).
• Oversee the creation and management of BIM models for infrastructure components, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Develop and deliver training programs for BIM users within the organization.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM strategies and workflows.
• Stay current with emerging BIM technologies and their application in infrastructure development.
