Qualifications

• Experience with event software or BEO creation is essential.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a George-based environment.

• A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and understand their event needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from booking to post-event follow-up, understanding their vision and requirements.
• Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and floor plans for banquets and special functions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including culinary, AV, and service staff, to ensure all event needs are met.
• Oversee on-site event execution, managing setup, guest flow, and service delivery to ensure a flawless experience.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability for each function.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with staff and post-event debriefs with clients and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events promptly and effectively.
• Maintain and update event calendars, client records, and BEOs accurately.
• Contribute to menu planning and presentation, offering creative solutions to enhance guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with all venue policies, health and safety regulations in George.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior banqueting staff.
