Job summary

Camunda, a fully remote and global enterprise platform, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own automated reliability testing and chaos engineering at the core of Camunda 8. You will explore, experiment, and push for robust improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen the platform before customers see any impact.

You'll work with Java-based products, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Prometheus, driving practical, user-focused reliability and performance enhancements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering (Java).
• Proven drive to experiment, learn new tech, and conduct automated reliability testing in distributed environments.
• Deep enthusiasm for improving performance and fault-tolerance in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute automated chaos experiments and reliability tests.
• Investigate, root-cause, and debug potential failures or performance regressions of Java-based products.
• Improve load testing, chaos engineering, and observability infrastructure.
