Placements24 seeks a Senior Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to lead integration across electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems in a fully remote engineering team. The role focuses on delivering cohesive vehicle architectures and ensuring subsystem compatibility across projects from multiple origins, including East London, Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in EE, ME, CS or related field.
• 8+ years of automotive systems engineering experience with a focus on integration.
• Proven expertise in integrating systems such as powertrain, ADAS, and infotainment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols CAN/LIN/Ethernet.
• Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration of automotive subsystems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Develop and implement system integration strategies and plans.
• Identify and resolve integration issues, conflicts, and dependencies between subsystems.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Define system interfaces and requirements for various vehicle modules.
• Conduct system-level testing and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot complex integration problems and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, interfaces, and integration processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in systems integration.
