Qualifications

• Professional certification from a recognized aromatherapy organization.
• Minimum 7 years of practical aromatherapy experience.

• In-depth knowledge of essential oils: sourcing, chemistry, and safety.

Responsibilities

Our client, a serene and established wellness retreat located in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA , is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aromatherapist & Holistic Wellness Practitioner. This hybrid role is dedicated to providing clients with deeply restorative therapeutic experiences, focusing on advanced aromatherapy techniques, personalized wellness consultations, and the integration of various holistic therapies. You will be instrumental in designing customized treatment plans, guiding clients towards improved well-being, and potentially leading workshops. The ideal candidate possesses a profound knowledge of essential oils, their therapeutic properties, and their safe application, coupled with a compassionate approach and strong understanding of holistic health principles.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Professional certification from a recognized Aromatherapy organization (e.g., IFA, IFPA, NAHA).
• Minimum of 7 years of practical experience as a practicing Aromatherapist.
• Additional certifications or extensive experience in complementary therapies such as massage, reflexology, or mindfulness coaching are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of botanical sourcing, extraction methods, and the chemical constituents of essential oils.
• Proven ability to create custom blends for specific therapeutic needs.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy skills.
• Strong understanding of contraindications and safety precautions for aromatherapy and related therapies.
• Ability to work independently and manage a hybrid schedule, balancing client sessions with remote preparation or administrative tasks.
