You will lead client consultations, design personalized essential-oil therapies, and deliver treatments that support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

The ideal candidate holds a recognized aromatherapy certification, at least 5 years’ experience, and proficiency in related holistic modalities.

Qualifications

• Professional certification in Aromatherapy from a recognized institution (e.g., IFA, ITEC).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Aromatherapist.
• Additional certification or experience in massages, reflexology, Reiki or related modalities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth client consultations to assess wellness needs and goals.
• Develop personalized aromatherapy treatment plans with essential oils and application methods.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established holistic wellness centre located in the heart of Soweto , Gauteng , is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Aromatherapist & Holistic Wellness Practitioner. This role is central to providing clients with comprehensive wellness solutions that integrate the power of essential oils with other holistic modalities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of aromatherapy, its therapeutic benefits, and safe application practices, alongside experience in other wellness disciplines such as massage, reflexology, or energy healing. You will be responsible for client consultations, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering treatments that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth client consultations to assess their wellness needs, health history, and therapeutic goals.
• Develop personalized aromatherapy treatment plans, selecting appropriate essential oils, blends, and application methods (e.g., diffusion, massage, inhalation).
• Administer a variety of holistic therapies, including aromatherapy massage, hot stone therapy, and potentially other modalities based on expertise.
• Educate clients on the benefits of aromatherapy and holistic practices, recommending home‑care strategies.
• Maintain a serene, clean, and organized treatment environment, ensuring all products and equipment are well‑maintained and stored correctly.
• Stay current with advancements in aromatherapy, essential oil research, and holistic wellness practices through continuous learning.
• Manage client appointments and maintain detailed records of treatments, progress, and client feedback.
• Promote wellness centre services and products to clients, building strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all professional standards, ethical guidelines, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Professional certification in Aromatherapy from a recognized and accredited institution (e.g., IFA, ITEC).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Aromatherapist.
• Additional certification or demonstrable experience in complementary wellness modalities (e.g., Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki) is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of essential oils, their properties, contraindications, and therapeutic applications.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
