Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to lead technical design and documentation for projects in Richards Bay. You will ensure feasibility and accuracy of designs, bridging concepts to construction while guiding junior staff and coordinating with architects and engineers.

The role requires a deep knowledge of building technologies, materials, and South African regulations, with strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Extensive experience as Architectural Technologist with a strong project portfolio.
• Expertise in BIM software (Revit) and advanced CAD skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and SA building regulations.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in Richards Bay.
• Provide technical expertise during design development and construction phases.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior technologists and designers to foster technical excellence.
