Placements24 is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer in Midrand to lead the design process from concept through to construction documentation. You will shape both aesthetics and function of diverse projects, ensuring client needs and regulatory standards are met.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, at least seven years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and V-Ray.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a focus on project leadership.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and 3D modeling/rendering tools (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray).
• Strong understanding of South African building regulations and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and documentation for architectural projects, ensuring adherence to project briefs and client expectations.
• Produce high-quality 3D models, renderings, and technical drawings using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve design challenges and ensure constructability.
• Conduct site visits and assess existing conditions to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with local building codes.
• Mentor junior designers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and skill development within the design team.
