Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Architectural Designer in Pietermaritzburg. You will lead design concepts through to construction documents, collaborating with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional projects.

You bring 7+ years of experience, strong Revit/AutoCAD/SketchUp skills, and a solid understanding of South African codes. The role offers hybrid work, development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience leading architectural design projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software such as V-Ray or Lumion.
• Strong understanding of South Africa building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept development to final construction documents for diverse architectural projects.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide design solutions.
• Develop detailed drawings, 3D models, and renderings using industry-standard software.
• Perform site visits and feasibility studies to ensure design integrity and resolve challenges.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to team quality and innovation.
