Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Architect for a hybrid role in Welkom. The successful candidate will guide design teams, manage client relationships and oversee projects from inception to completion, shaping the firm's design direction.

You will mentor junior staff, drive innovative and sustainable architectural solutions, and collaborate across in-office and remote settings to deliver high-profile projects within a respected practice.

Qualifications

• Professional Architect qualification (PrArch) or SACAP registration.
• ≥10 years post-graduate experience delivering architectural projects.
• Expertise in design, project management and construction administration.
• Proficiency with BIM tools, especially Revit.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for complex architectural projects, ensuring architectural excellence and technical integrity.
• Manage project teams of architects, technologists, and interns, fostering collaboration.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Oversee preparation of project documentation including design proposals, drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and sustainability standards.
• Conduct rigorous quality control checks during design and construction, with on-site and remote oversight.
