Key Responsibilities

Lead architectural design for a range of commercial and retail developments, from initial concept to detailed construction documentation. Develop innovative design solutions that meet client objectives, market demands, and budgetary constraints. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively throughout the design process. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery. Prepare and present design proposals, drawings, and specifications. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and regulatory compliance checks. Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff. Ensure adherence to high standards of design quality, technical execution, and professional practice.

Requirements

Master of Architecture or equivalent degree. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio in commercial and retail architecture. Proficiency in leading architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools. Proven experience in managing project teams and client relationships. Thorough knowledge of South African building codes, zoning laws, and development processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Registered Professional Architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
