Aggreko plc is seeking a Principal Application Engineer in Kempton Park, Africa, to serve as a senior technical authority for complex power generation and renewable energy projects. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power engineering and/or renewable energy applications.
• Strong technical knowledge of power generation equipment, energy storage systems, solar PV and related infrastructure.
• Experience managing complex technical inputs for large-scale proposals and supporting pre-sales or customer-facing engineering activities.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally, especially within the Africa region.

Aufgaben

• Develop customer-focused engineered solutions by collaborating with Sales teams and understanding application requirements.
• Lead concept development and outline engineering for complex enquiries, including RFQs and tenders exceeding $10M USD.
• Provide technical expertise in customer meetings, delivering application overviews and technical sales training on new and existing technologies.
• Work with Project Engineering teams to validate and refine proposed technical solutions and build local project capability.
• Advise Commercial teams on technical bid components, material specifications, and costing inputs for bespoke equipment.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet operational excellence standards and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
