Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Mid to Senior Android Developer for its Payments Technology team to design, build, and maintain native Android apps powering payment terminals and POS devices. You will integrate with card readers, NFC, PIN pads, and EMV-based transactions within a secure financial services environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on Android expertise, knowledge of EMV/ISO8583 standards, and collaboration with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable payment software

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Native Android Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience developing applications for Android-based POS or payment devices.
• Experience with EMV payment protocols, including contact and/or contactless transactions.
• Knowledge of ISO 8583 financial messaging standards.
• Experience integrating Android applications with hardware peripherals such as card readers, NFC devices, and PIN pads.
• Experience with Android AIDL and IPC communication mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of secure application development principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced financial services environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications for payment terminals and POS devices.
• Build and support secure payment processing solutions within a financial services environment.
• Integrate Android applications with payment terminal hardware, including card readers, NFC devices, and PIN pads.
• Develop and maintain solutions supporting EMV-compliant card transactions.
• Work with financial messaging systems and transaction-processing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across payment applications and device integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to deliver new functionality.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and support activities across the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with security, quality, and best-practice development standards.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
