Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to own hardware-focused Android payment-device software in Pretoria. You will work on-site with access to payment hardware, lead SoftPOS efforts, and drive certification cycles such as Visa CPA and Mastercard TQM.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in Android (Kotlin/Java) and hands-on experience with payment devices, security (Keystore/TrustZone), and PCI standards. Collaboration with architecture and QA is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ professional Android development experience using Kotlin and Java.
• 3+ years’ experience integrating payment hardware at SDK level.
• 2+ years’ experience with EMV Level 2 payment development or integration.
• Experience completing Visa CPA or Mastercard TQM certification cycles.
• Knowledge of PCI PTS and PCI-SSF requirements.
• Production experience with secure element/Android Keystore/TrustZone.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android payment-device software including card acceptance, NFC/tap, PIN pad integration and receipts.
• Lead SoftPOS development per PCI MPoC/CPoC requirements.
• Own Visa CPA and Mastercard TQM certification processes, including submissions and remediation.
• Provide mentorship and code reviews to mid-level Android developers.
• Ensure security and compliance across devices and audits.
