Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Team Lead: POS Development to drive the development of POS and mobile payment applications in Johannesburg. You will lead a cross-functional team across backend, mobile, and payment integration areas in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, strong Java (8+), POS app know-how, and familiarity with ISO 8583 and Nexo standards. Experience leading teams and fintech/payments domains is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong Java development experience (Java 8+).
• Experience in POS application development and EMV card transaction processing.
• Exposure to payment system integrations and ISO 8583/Nexo.
• Proficiency in Java, C, C++, and Kotlin.
• Experience leading or mentoring development teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of backend, mobile, and UI development.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or embedded systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, debugging tools, and version control systems.
